Hybrids Available from PGA Superstores
Just discovered that the Element 21 Hybrids are available from another online retailer. PGA Superstores is now carrying the e21 Hybrids. If you haven't tried the hybrids, everyone that uses hybrids should spend $200 bucks and give one a try. I have the 23 and planning on getting the 18 degree soon!

The Press RELEASE IS WRONG!
Jason Day is not using e21 shafts! He is sponsored by Taylor Made not Nike. The player in question that placed 6th is John Cook. John Cook placed 6th at the Allianz tournament on the Champions tour not at the AT&T. This type of press release does nothing to increase the credibility of Element 21. They may have some cool technology, but if they can't report true facts why should we believe that their technology is very good.

Jason Day uses Scandium too?(false)
Apparently Jason Day is playing with the Eagle One Shafts too... He placed sixth over the weekend.... Here's the release:
http://biz.yahoo.com/iw/080212/0360591.html
UPDATE: Apparently they don't have their facts together as Jason Day does not use Nike clubs, he uses Taylor Made, but John Cook uses Nike Irons and he placed 6th on the Champions Tour. The press release is misleading.

Vijay Stumbles
Vijay stumbled down the stretch, to lose the AT&T. The good news is that he finished the week #1 in Greens in regulation. Which definitely speaks well for the e21 Eagle One shafts. It was also good exposure as there were many shots of the logo on his shafts during the tournament.

Is Vijay still using the e21 Eagle One shafts?
Vijay Singh is tied for the lead at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am with one round to go. A top 5 finish will surely be followed by a press release from the company about the finish. If Vijay is able to win it will be the first victory on the PGA tour by a player using e21 Products. Looks like the momentum is starting to build.
Update: It's confirmed! Just saw Vijay's shaft on super slow mo on HDTV, and there is the orange e21 logo underneath the shaft below the grip. Vijay is winning the AT&T with Element 21 shafts.

Thoughts on the e21 EMC2 Driver
I've been hitting the Driver 9 degree with a stiff shaft since last fall. First thing to note is the head is huge, probably the biggest I have seen, the face is relatively shallow so you don't have to use the extra long tees, but that means there is quite a bit of mass behind the face which makes the head look and feel really big. The head is quite light because of the carbon fiber portion of the head. Only the face is made of Scandium. The shaft is made of graphite and comes in 3 flexes, Stiff, Regular, and Senior. I got the Senior for a friend of mine and it was really soft, almost too soft.
I have been swinging the driver with a stiff shaft for about 5 months now, the flex of the shaft took a bit to get used to, I cannot over swing it. The smoother the swing, the better. It took me awhile to figure out the tempo to match the shaft, in reality I would like a bit stiffer shaft, and may look into trying a different shaft.
I don't really find an improvement in distance, but I do notice that my mishits stay much straighter. I have a tendency to hit big blocked shots to the right, with the EMC2 Driver they don't go as far right, they at least usually stay on the golf course. Overall I am pleased with the performance of the Driver. I don't necessarily think that the driver will be a big game changer, I personally think the performance of the shafts will drive this company in the future. Anyone else have thoughts on the driver? Care to Share them? We'd love to hear them.
